My Path

Groovy Girl Cupcakes was a hobby turned dream business.  Reading and studying cookbooks as a child turned into baking and cooking something special for my family and then my passion formally turned into a full blown business to share with others.  To hone my skills, I took cake decorating classes and eventually became a Certified Wilton Instructor with hundreds of excited, talented students.  I've taught group classes as well as private lessons all over Maryland. I won a blue ribbon, certificate and trophy for my first food competition -- The White Rose Cake Show in 2010.   Two food trucks were also born from this passion but just as times change, so has Groovy Girl Cupcakes.

     In May 2017, I joined the Havre De Grace Farmer's Market family and sold a full line of enticing (and delicious) baked goods.  I'm excited to return to that family in Spring 2018 and hope to introduce more of my creations.

  The Farmers Market also gave me a chance to flex my creative muscles so I showcased baked goods for canine and feline family members.  Groovy Girl Pupcakes were born in June 2017 and will soon be featured at local pet friendly businesses.  I now offers mini cupcakes treats, decorated dog friendly cupcakes and cakes for every day treats to celebrations of life for pets.  More details on where to find them are brewing but in the meantime, feel free to contact me for personal catering for your four-legged friend.

  I also offer full personal chef catering for small family in-home events, corporate and church events as well as larger celebrations like weddings, baby showers, bar/bat mitvahs, repass meals and every thing else in between. These services are offered as a personal chef and consultations are needed for each order.
